The debut of the new AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 is prompting motherboard manufacturers to quickly update their platforms. Gigabyte and ASRock have already made new BIOS versions available to provide compatibility and fully leverage the chip's potential.

The processor heavily relies on L3 cache expansion, a key element for improving gaming performance and latency-sensitive applications. Firmware updates are specifically focused on this aspect.

Gigabyte introduces BIOS based on AGESA 1.3.0.0a and adds a feature called X3D Turbo Mode 2, designed to automatically adapt the CPU's behavior based on the workload. Activation occurs directly from the BIOS, with a simplified approach even for less experienced users.

ASRock, on the other hand, aims for broader coverage: all AM5 motherboards are compatible with the new processor via update, with tools like BIOS Flashback and Instant Flash making the operation accessible. The situation is more uncertain for other brands. MSI has anticipated support but without concrete releases, while ASUS seems to have already integrated compatible versions, albeit without official announcements.

Overall, the AM5 ecosystem proves to be ready to welcome the new CPU, with updates already available for those who want to immediately take advantage of its capabilities.
