Arcade Archives Celebrates 500 Releases with One of the Greatest Classics of All Time
A journey spanning almost 12 years

Hamsters Corporation has announced that its Arcade Archives series has reached the impressive milestone of 500 published games. It has been 11 years and 8 months since the series began, bringing countless arcade classics back to modern platforms, restored and optimized for the occasion. To celebrate the event, the Japanese company has unveiled an exceptional title that will join the collection in a few days: the original Space Invaders, released by Taito in 1978.
With Arcade Archives SPACE INVADERS, the Arcade Archives series reaches its 500th title.

This version includes the original formula seen in arcades of the era, along with Hi Score and Caravan modes, and will cost 6.99 euros on Switch and PS4. Additionally, owners of Switch 2, PS5, and Series X|S will be able to purchase the Arcade Archives 2 edition for 8.99 euros (or upgrade for 2.99 euros), which also includes the new Time Attack mode and VRR support.
