Samsung Galaxy: Fold8, Flip8, and New Watches Arrive
The new Galaxy family focuses on artificial intelligence, with three unprecedented foldables and a completely revamped Watch lineup
Samsung expands the Galaxy family with a new generation of foldable devices that aims to make artificial intelligence an even more integral part of the daily experience. The new lineup includes Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8, developed for different needs but united by the increasingly extensive integration of Galaxy AI. Accompanying them are Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, developed to extend the functions of the Samsung ecosystem to the wrist.
Galaxy Z Fold8: The Foldable for Entertainment
Galaxy Z Fold8 evolves the series' formula by focusing on more contained dimensions and a reduced weight of just 201 grams. The goal is to make daily use more natural without sacrificing the advantages of the large internal 7.6” inch AMOLED display, making content consumption more comfortable compared to a traditional smartphone.
Samsung has also worked on robustness by introducing Flex Titanium technology, designed to increase panel resistance and make the central crease less noticeable. On the photographic front, we find a dual 50-megapixel camera, flanked by new modes dedicated to content creation such as dual recording and My FanCam. A 4,800 mAh battery completes the picture.
The price list starts from 2,099 euros for the 256 GB version, rises to 2,299 euros for the 512 GB version, and reaches 2,699 euros in the 1 TB configuration with 16 GB of RAM.
Fold8 Ultra Brings the Ultra Philosophy to Foldables
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the first foldable model to inherit the "Ultra" designation, marking the entry of the Ultra philosophy into the world of foldables. Samsung concentrates the most advanced solutions of the range here, starting with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, without neglecting autonomy and optimized heat dissipation.
The internal display grows up to 8” inches, while the thickness is reduced to 4.1 millimeters when unfolded. The photographic sector is led by a 200-megapixel main sensor flanked by a new 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, with support for evolved Nightography, advanced HDR, and video recording up to 8K resolution. A 5,000 mAh battery (with 45 W fast charging) is designed to support the most demanding activities until the end of the day.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will be available starting from 2,299 euros, with prices reaching up to 2,899 euros for the 1 TB version.
Galaxy Z Flip8 Focuses on AI and Practicality
Those who prefer a more compact device will find in the Galaxy Z Flip8 the evolution of Samsung's clamshell offering. With a weight of 180 grams and a thickness of 6.1 millimeters, it is the thinnest and lightest model in the Flip family.
The main novelty concerns the FlexWindow, which becomes a true intelligent panel capable of showing notifications, contextual suggestions, and Gemini-based functions without opening the phone. The photographic sector also grows thanks to a 50-megapixel sensor supported by the ProVisual Engine, while dedicated modes such as Flex Mode and Camcorder Grip make it easier to take photos and videos on the go.
Galaxy Z Flip8 is offered at 1,379 euros for the 256 GB version and 1,579 euros for the 512 GB version.
Galaxy AI Increasingly a Protagonist
Beyond the hardware differences, as mentioned, the common thread of the entire range is the evolution of Galaxy AI. Samsung aims to make artificial intelligence an integrated tool in daily use, from productivity to photography, through information management and activities performed directly on the device.
The stated goal is to reduce the number of steps required to perform common operations, offering contextual suggestions and greater integration between software and hardware.
Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2 Complete the Ecosystem
Alongside the smartphones, the new Galaxy Watches also arrive.
Galaxy Watch 9 is intended for daily use and introduces new functions based on Samsung Health and AI for analyzing key wellness parameters, as well as direct integration of Gemini into the operating system.
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, on the other hand, is aimed at more athletic users. The 800 mAh battery, the display up to 5,000 nits, the titanium case, and the new functions dedicated to outdoor activities and diving make it the most complete model in the range.
Prices start from 409 euros for Galaxy Watch 9 and reach 749 euros for Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
