Xbox Developer_Direct Returns: Event Date and Games
The spotlight is on some of the biggest titles in the Xbox ecosystem
The first major video game event of 2026 is set with the upcoming Xbox Developer_Direct: the event where Microsoft's gaming division presents some of its most anticipated titles for the current year returns. The show gives the floor to the developers themselves, who have ample time to provide us with an in-depth look at their works, illustrating their salient features in detail.
Developer_Direct 2026 Date, Time, and Games
As announced on the Xbox blog, the 2026 edition of Developer_Direct will be broadcast on Thursday, January 22, starting at 7:00 PM CET. Three of the event's protagonists have been revealed, most notably Fable, the highly anticipated reboot of the fantasy series in development at Playground Games. Long, long awaited, Fable will finally reach our screens this year, and the Direct will provide the opportunity to see an in-depth look for the first time.
The second title is Forza Horizon 6, the new installment in the racing game series, which was announced in September and is set in Japan. Coincidentally, the developers are the same as Fable. Finally, there will also be space for Beast of Reincarnation, the action/RPG from Game Freak (yes, the Pokémon creators), which we first saw in June. No other games are mentioned, but we're willing to bet that during the Developer_Direct there will be a new surprise announcement…
