2026 has just begun and we already have a juicy media case on our hands. A few weeks ago, Woman Simulator was announced, a new low-budget simulator (complete with an AI-generated poster) on Steam that will allow you to "experience the life of a woman." Cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, and other typical housewife duties. The game is expected to be released by the end of March, but it has already drawn the ire of the entire web, which certainly did not appreciate the sexist and antiquated view of the female public.

Why Woman Simulator is enraging the web

Reading between the lines of the Steam page, there seems to be more than just a mere stereotype. The protagonist appears to be a prisoner in her own home (complete with a GPS ankle monitor), a victim of her domineering husband, for whom she must do chores and keep him happy while looking for an opportunity to escape. We are not here to discuss whether Woman Simulator has merits or not, but the developer, Sebasa Games, knew very well what they were getting into with that title, and if they wanted to attract attention, they succeeded.

Bad publicity is still publicity, and Woman Simulator has managed in a few hours to stand out in the sea of nameless productions that come out on stores every day. True, some will want to lynch its entourage, however, it will garner many more sales than similar games with more "appropriate" titles, and it will certainly have its circle of supporters. Will Valve prohibit its purchase? Unlikely, worse things circulate on Steam (except for exceptional cases, like the recent Horses), and in a few weeks, we will probably all have forgotten about it. If you want to feast your eyes, here's the trailer.
