Villion: Code, the latest work from the co-creator of Megami Tensei and Persona has a name
Releasing in Japan in May

A couple of weeks ago, we gave you a heads-up about the next project from Kouji Okada, co-creator of the Megami Tensei and Persona sagas. Well, today we learn its name: Villion: Code. The title will be a "school RPG," set on a floating island in Tokyo Bay, where once-human monsters roam, and features a dungeon crawler-style gameplay formula with procedurally generated levels. These will have a tubular shape, allowing 360° movement in all directions, citing the classic arcade game Gyruss as inspiration. Combat, it seems, will be in real-time.
The information comes from a leak of the upcoming volume of Famitsu, due out tomorrow, so for now, no trailers or screenshots. However, we do know that it will be released in Japan on May 25 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, complete with Standard, Limited, and Collector's physical editions. We will keep you updated as soon as Compile Heart publishes the official announcement.
