Publisher NIS America has shared a new trailer for Village in the Shade, the new work from Nippon Ichi Software (the studio behind Disgaea). At first glance, this video game might seem like just another simulator whose sole purpose is to immerse the player in a comfortable atmosphere, but the reassuring facade hides a horror that seems to draw heavily from Japanese folklore.
Where and When Village in the Shade Will Be Released
Village in the Shade was released in Asia on July 29, but we'll have to wait until autumn to see it in our region. If you want to experience the unease hidden behind the apparent tranquility of the village of Kagatsu, then know that the release date in the West has been set for October 27, 2026. You will find Nippon Ichi's latest effort on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and PC (Steam).
