Truxton Extreme: Co-op Mode Trailer
After more than thirty years of absence, this shooter franchise is making a comeback
Truxton is a series consisting of two vertical-scrolling shoot 'em ups, released in arcades between 1988 and 1992. This saga was created by the Japanese company Toaplan, which, however, went bankrupt shortly after. Its legacy has been taken up by the studio Tatsujin, formed by Masahiro Yuge, who served as a composer at Toaplan. The studio was not named by chance, given that Truxton's original Japanese name is precisely Tatsujin.
Truxton Extreme's Multiplayer
Tatsujin is developing the third installment in the series, Truxton Extreme, which is expected on PlayStation 5 and PC at a later date (but it shouldn't be long, given that development is almost complete). In the meantime, publisher Clear River Games has shared a trailer dedicated to the cooperative mode: if you have a friend with whom you want to wreak destruction among alien waves, this might be for you.
