Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Arrives in 2027: The Release Date

In 1996, with the first Tomb Raider, Core Design and Eidos Interactive redefined the rules of action/adventure games, creating a title that profoundly influenced the genre and gave players a heroine who became an icon: Lara Croft. Today, the archaeologist has become very different from her early days, but she has not lost her adventurous spirit and intends to prove it with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.

Announced during the last Game Awards, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a new way to interpret that first, historic chapter: a new beginning for the series, so to speak. 30 years later, not only has Lara Croft changed: the game itself will obviously have a much more modern look, thanks to Unreal Engine 5, as well as decidedly more up-to-date gameplay. 

When and where Legacy of Atlantis will be released

Developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Flying Wild Hog and published by Amazon Game Studios, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released on February 12, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam); pre-orders are now open. In the future, the franchise will expand with an entirely new adventure, Tomb Raider: Catalyst.
