They Follow: It Follows sequel takes shape
According to initial reports, the scenario will be even more unsettling

After a long silence, the sequel to It Follows seems to have regained momentum. Maika Monroe has confirmed that They Follow is ready to go into production, calling it her next project.
The actress will return as Jay Height, protagonist of the 2014 horror cult classic, but this time the scenario will be even more unsettling. According to initial reports, the film will aim for darker tones and a narrative that pushes beyond the limits already explored in the original chapter.
Evil Expands: A Threat Without Borders

Behind the camera, we find David Robert Mitchell, author of the first film, determined to maintain that suspended atmosphere of slow camera movements, constant tension, and an inevitable sense of threat. Elements that had made It Follows a benchmark for contemporary horror.
The new story is expected to expand the concept behind the first film, suggesting an even more widespread and difficult-to-contain danger. A natural but also risky evolution for an already very recognizable idea.
Production is entrusted to Neon and Good Fear Content, although no official release date has been announced yet. Meanwhile, Monroe has appeared in the short film Resident Evil Requiem - Evil Has Always Had A Name.
