The Beekeeper 2 - First Set Photo with Jason Statham
The first film captivated audiences and critics with its blend of adrenaline and humor

Jason Statham returns to action, but this time with unexpected lightness. Usually imperturbable and grim, the granite-faced British actor was captured smiling on the set of The Beekeeper 2, marking a new collaboration with Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto. Shared on social media by the director himself, the image confirms the official start of filming and promises an even more spectacular sequel than the first chapter.
Released in 2024, The Beekeeper had captivated audiences and critics with its blend of adrenaline and humor, with Statham playing a lethal beekeeper determined to avenge a personal wrong. According to initial rumors, the sequel will push action to comic book limits, with tones inspired by Japanese anime and a bolder aesthetic.
New Explosive Collaboration

The cast will see the return of Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave, while Jeremy Irons will reprise his role as the charismatic antagonist Wallace Westwyld. New additions include Pom Klementieff, Adam Copeland, and Yara Shahidi, whose presence adds further intrigue to the project.
Tjahjanto stated his desire to blend the intensity of Asian action cinema with a story of honor and solitude, comparing Statham to a modern samurai armed with guns and honey. If the result lives up to its promises, The Beekeeper 2 could become one of the most interesting titles of next year.
