The Batman 2: Sebastian Stan Heading for an Unexpected Role?

The latest rumors about The Batman 2 could rewrite many of the hypotheses circulated so far about the sequel directed by Matt Reeves. According to journalist Jeff Sneider, Sebastian Stan is not destined to play Harvey Dent, as many fans have claimed in recent months.

The actor's name is instead associated with Victor Zsasz, a serial killer among the most disturbing in the DC universe and a figure that would fit well with the dark atmosphere built in the first film. In parallel, Harvey Dent should still appear in the story, but played by Brian Tyree Henry, leaving open the question of a possible transformation into Two-Face.

A Possible Change of Course for Gotham

The rumors don't stop there. Among the elements that could find space in the screenplay is also the Court of Owls, the secret society that in the comics manipulates Gotham from behind the scenes and which readers have hoped to see on the big screen for years. Also Scarlett Johansson and Charles Dance, according to the same sources, would play original or deeply re-elaborated characters, rather than well-known figures from Batman's mythology.
