To mark its historic 16 Oscar nominations, Sinners is returning to American theaters with an initiative designed for its most avid fans. The North American circuit AMC Theatres has launched a collectible popcorn bucket inspired by the film, available only in participating theaters.

The container, weighing approximately 2 kg, replicates a hard tour guitar case, a clear nod to the film's aesthetic. Sold for $27.99 and accompanied by a large portion of popcorn, it is not available for purchase online: the only way to get it is to physically go to the cinema.

A Collectible Many Will Covet

Written and directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners proved to be one of the cinematic phenomena of the year, grossing $368 million worldwide and earning a place among the most successful horror films of all time. Starring Michael B. Jordan, who takes on a dual role as twins Smoke and Stack, men attempting to start a new life after returning from the front, only to find themselves back in their hometown, unaware of the evil that awaits them.

The cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, and Delroy Lindo. Critics particularly praised the film's emotional impact, highlighting how Coogler effectively makes the horror deeply connected to the characters.

The Oscar nominations span from major to technical categories, confirming Sinners as one of the most important yet also debated titles of the season. The bewilderment of those who consider so many nominations unacceptable is compounded by a different, political interpretation of them.
