Serious Sam: Shatterverse - The Return of the FPS Saga
Once again, Sam Stone must save the universe from Mental's clutches
Serious Sam recently turned 25: it was March 21, 2001, when The First Encounter, the first chapter of the series, developed by the Croatian studio Croteam, was released. What better way to celebrate the anniversary than with a new game? Devolver Digital announces Serious Sam: Shatterverse. Croteam has passed the torch to Behaviour Interactive, the Canadian software house behind Dead by Daylight.

In Serious Sam: Shatterverse, the evil Mental has triumphed across multiple timelines and broken down the barriers separating parallel universes. It will therefore be up to Sam Stone, or rather, five different Sam Stones from as many universes, to pick up the pieces and save the day. This FPS will feature typical elements of the saga and will have a roguelite structure; the experience can also be tackled in cooperative multiplayer. Players will encounter familiar and new monsters, to be defeated with weapons previously wielded, alongside new ones.

When and Where Serious Sam: Shatterverse Releases
The announcement was accompanied by the trailer you see above, which gives us a first taste of the game. The launch window for Serious Sam: Shatterverse is set for 2026. You will find the new chapter of the series on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Xbox PC).
