PlayStation 5, over 92 million consoles sold
We're talking about units shipped, but the figures are more or less the same

Sony has announced its financial results for the last quarter of 2025. According to data published by the Japanese brand, PlayStation 5 has reached 92.2 million units shipped worldwide, an increase of 8 million compared to the previous three months. There was a decline of one and a half million compared to the same period in 2024, but this is normal considering market saturation and the absence of major exclusives.
Furthermore, 132 million active users were recorded on the PlayStation Network, and some 97.2 million software units were sold on PS4 and PS5, of which 76% consisted of digital editions of full games. Sony's flagship will probably not reach 100 million in the coming months, but it should have no problem reaching the coveted milestone by the end of the year, also thanks to the release of heavy hitters like Wolverine and GTA6.
