The world of Peaky Blinders is preparing to change its face. Netflix has shown the first images of Jamie Bell as Duke Shelby, destined to inherit the family's legacy in the new chapter set in the 1950s.

Tommy Shelby's son, the character returns with a different face for the third time in a few years: after Conrad Khan and Barry Keoghan, the role now passes to Bell, a choice linked to the time jump that requires a more adult and structured version of the character.

A new phase of ambition and reconstruction

The story will move to post-war Birmingham, amidst opportunities and tensions, with Duke described as more experienced and ruthless. The idea is to relaunch the saga by showing a city in transformation, where power is conquered again from scratch.

Steven Knight remains behind the project, having openly spoken of a "new beginning" for the franchise. Alongside Bell will be Charlie Heaton, Jessica Brown Findlay, and Lashana Lynch. Filming is already underway in England, and the series, planned for 2 seasons of 6 episodes, will arrive on Netflix and the British BBC. A date and official title have not yet been announced, but the return of the Shelbys is now a reality.
