New Super Mario Bros, soundtrack of the platformer available on Nintendo Music
Another DS classic within earshot

Nintendo has updated the lineup for the Nintendo Music app. This week, the Kyoto-based company is offering the soundtrack to the first New Super Mario Bros. for DS. Released in the summer of 2006, when that "New" on the cover truly meant something, the title was the plumber's first 2D platformer in over a decade, a return to its origins after several 3D installments and GBA remakes. It was highly praised by critics and audiences alike, selling over 30 million copies.

Composed by Asuka Hayazaki, Hajime Wakai, and Koji Kondo, the soundtrack includes 60 tracks for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes of listening. As usual, we remind you that Nintendo Music is available for free download, but can only be used by those with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. See you next week for a new update.
