Rocket Raccoon might join the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls roster as an additional character. This indication comes from a datamine of the PC version published by user Neoxon on ResetEra and reported by VGC, which also includes references to new costumes and a Battle Pass not yet officially announced.

One of the screenshots shows a string related to the story mode in which Kamala Khan meets Groot and Rocket. An internal note associated with the scene explicitly identifies Rocket as «future DLC», a detail that suggests his possible arrival after launch. The same material also contains the labels Classic and Legacy associated with costumes for Hulk, Spider-Man, Green Goblin, and Doctor Doom.

The datamine seems to go beyond just characters. According to Twisted Voxel, the files contain strings related to Battle Points, experience, levels, rewards, level purchases, and Battle Pass boosts. Costume-related tickets and references to cosmetic and customization elements also appear.

The presence of other fighters and costumes after launch is already confirmed. On the PlayStation Blog, Arc System Works specifies that the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass includes four additional playable characters and a new stage. The first is Phoenix Cyclops, officially announced in July; in the same Arc System Works update, the studio also confirmed its intention to continue adding alternate costumes.

This makes Rocket and the variants found in the files compatible with the already declared post-launch plans, but does not constitute a confirmation of their arrival. Even more uncertain is the situation of the Battle Pass: Sony and Arc System Works have not announced it, and the references found could relate to content still under development, modified, or not intended for publication.
