In the Grey - Guy Ritchie Directs Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal
An elite unit is involved in dangerous clandestine operations

A new action thriller directed by Guy Ritchie is set to hit the big screen and promises to move into territory the British director knows best: impossible missions, secret teams, and rapidly complicating plots. The film is titled In the Grey and stars Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, alongside Eiza González.
The first images released show the three actors as members of an elite unit engaged in clandestine operations. Their objective is to recover an enormous fortune – a billion-dollar haul is mentioned – stolen by a powerful criminal. What initially appears to be a high-risk recovery operation quickly transforms into an international intrigue of infiltration, deception, and global clashes.
Arriving in cinemas after 3 years

The project marks the collaboration between Cavill and Ritchie even before The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which was filmed the year prior, confirming the synergy between the British actor and the director's dynamic style. The cast also includes Rosamund Pike, Fisher Stevens, Jason Wong, Emmett J. Scanlan, and Carlos Bardem.
Filming took place in 2023, but production went through a longer-than-expected post-production phase, with several distribution changes. The release is now set for April 10, 2026 in US cinemas; nothing is known yet for Italy. For Ritchie, it could be an important opportunity to return to box office prominence, after recent works that found their audience primarily on streaming platforms.
