The first trailer for House of the Dragon 3 anticipates the most violent phase of the Dance of the Dragons.

HBO has released the first teaser trailer for House of the Dragon season 3, offering a concrete preview of what awaits the Targaryens after the second chapter's finale. The new images arrive as the Game of Thrones prequel universe returns to the spotlight and confirm that the conflict between the Greens and the Blacks has now entered its most violent phase.

The footage emphasizes a climate of open war. The sequences alternate between marching armies, threatened cities, and an increasingly massive deployment of dragons, conveying the idea of a conflict that no longer leaves room for diplomacy. The tension suspended in the second season's finale finds a precise direction here: the struggle for control of King's Landing and the events related to the Battle of the Gullet, drawn from George R. R. Martin's fictional chronicle Fire & Blood, take on a central role in the narrative.
The plot of House of the Dragon 3
The trailer features Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daemon, with the latter reiterating the queen's role as the focal point of the clash. Alicent Hightower and Aegon II are also glimpsed, while the images suggest the immediate consequences of the decisions made in the previous finale. The Targaryen civil war, the so-called Dance of the Dragons, is depicted as a decisive passage for the fate of the house, now torn from within.
When does House of the Dragon 3 come out?
