Greenland 2: Migration - Trailer for the sequel with Gerard Butler
Five years after the catastrophe that devastated the planet, the survivors haven't stopped fighting

Lionsgate has released the first adrenaline-fueled trailer for Greenland 2: Migration, the sequel to the surprising 2020 disaster movie that captivated audiences with its story of a celestial body falling to Earth and the Garrity family's desperate fight for survival.
Set five years later, the film shows the consequences of a life spent in underground bunkers. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and their son Nathan (played by Roman Griffin Davis, the young star of Jojo Rabbit) face new challenges in a devastated world: radiation storms, raging oceans, and the nightmare of further meteorite showers.
A Devastation That Seems Endless
When the safety of the refuge falters, the Garritys must embark on a desperate journey to the surface. The only hope seems to lie in the crater left by the comet's impact, where – according to scientists – there might be breathable air and potable water. To get there, the family will have to face a path fraught with dangers: deadly seas, suspended bridges, and encounters with other survivors ready to do anything to stay alive.
Director Ric Roman Waugh, who also helmed the first film, returns to direct this new adventure written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. Alongside Butler and Baccarin, the cast includes Amber Rose Revah, Sophie Thompson, Trond Fausa Aurvag, and William Abadie.
Greenland 2: Migration will be released in Italian cinemas on January 9, 2026.
