Online qualifications are complete, the grid for the Gran Turismo World Series 2026 is set, and the live events are ready to begin. The first stop is Milan, on Saturday, May 23, when the world's best Gran Turismo drivers will clash in the historic Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber, just a stone's throw from the Duomo. Tickets are now on sale on the official website: https://www.gran-turismo.com/world/gt7/events/gtws2026/milan/ticket/.
The event will kick off at 5:00 PM (local time) with the Manufacturers Cup, then make way for the Nations Cup, the highlight of the evening at 8:00 PM.
This will be the first time the Gran Turismo World Series visits Italy, a nation with a great motorsport tradition, and an enthusiastic home crowd is expected to cheer on former Nations Cup world champion Valerio Gallo, who will be looking to start his 2026 campaign strong in front of his fans. Gallo will be one of the 12 top drivers battling for Nations Cup glory in Milan.

He will have his work cut out for him against Spain's José Serrano, the reigning 2025 champion. Japan's Takuma Miyazono and Spain's Pol Urra, who finished second and third respectively last year, will also be looking to contend for top honors. Highlighting Spain's great strength, eighteen-year-old Samuel Moreno will make his Gran Turismo World Series debut, joining the Nations Cup group, which also includes two Brazilian drivers, two Japanese, one French, one Dutch, one Canadian, and one Australian.
In the Manufacturers Cup, Milan will see twelve drivers from the competitive EMEA region battle to secure an early season advantage for their respective teams. José Serrano will return behind the wheel for reigning champions Team Porsche. Fellow Spaniard Pol Urra will make his return with Team Mazda, after finishing second in 2025, while last year's third-place finishers, Team Subaru, will field GTWS debutant Briton Callum Moxon.

For Italian fans, Milan represents much more than just a stop on the calendar: it's an opportunity to support, at home, one of Italy's most decorated Gran Turismo drivers. Valerio Gallo is the 2021 Nations Cup World Champion, winner of the first Olympic Virtual Series Motor Sport Event, and boasts 11 victories in GTWS live events. Now he will have the opportunity to compete in front of the Italian public, in the first Gran Turismo World Series event ever held in Italy. Milan is ready to support him.
