God of War Laufey: Santa Monica Confirms Physical Disc

Santa Monica Studio will implement an epochal change in God of War: the charisma of the franchise is inextricably linked to that of Kratos, but the historical protagonist will be sidelined to make way for his consort Laufey. Sony will implement an even more epochal change, abolishing physical media which has faithfully accompanied the video game medium for decades: we will therefore have to say goodbye to discs, but not immediately.
Laufey Will Have Physical Support
On Friday, July 24, Santa Monica will participate in the San Diego Comic-Con with creative director Corey Barlog and game director Ariel Lawrence: on that occasion, new details about the game will be revealed. In the meantime, however, we can already give you new information: the studio has confirmed that God of War Laufey will be released on disc. The title was announced during the last State of Play and will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 (probably in 2027).
