God of War Laufey Delayed: Santa Monica Pushes Back Three Months
Kratos's wife will make us wait a little longer than expected
For the first time, Kratos will not play the protagonist, making way for his consort: this handover, which has been much discussed online, distinguishes God of War Laufey, the next chapter in the franchise that will see Faye/Laufey travel to the afterlife and confront various deities vying for power. The game's developer, Santa Monica Studio, will need a little more time to refine its work.
When is God of War Laufey coming out?
The launch of God of War Laufey, initially set for February, has been moved forward by three months: the new release date for the title is May 20, 2027. Pre-orders are open. Naturally, the work by Santa Monica is an absolute exclusive for PlayStation 5. The Californian studio has already confirmed that after Laufey, another God of War will arrive, with Kratos returning as the protagonist and a story that will connect to Laufey's ending.
