Giro d'Italia Comes to Fortnite
A custom map transforms Epic Games' title into a cycling competition
The Giro d'Italia is making its way into the gaming world with a project tied to the Fortnite franchise. RCS Sport, the company that manages the Giro and other major national sporting events, has partnered with NOVO Esports, a benchmark for competitive Italian gaming, to create a custom map inspired by eight official stages of the 2026 Giro edition.
The stages in question are Catanzaro, Naples, the Cima del Blockhaus in Abruzzo, Viareggio, Aosta, Milan, Gemona del Friuli, and finally Rome, where the 2026 Giro will conclude. The experience was created by Weeplow Creative, an Italian studio specializing in Fortnite development, and offers a true cycling competition on Fortnite, with the goal of achieving the best time along the various sections.
For the first time on Fortnite, players can use a bicycle, and not just any bicycle, but DE ROSA Bikes, the official bike of the Giro d'Italia 2026.
