In early October last year, PlayStation released Ghost of Yotei, the second installment in the action/adventure franchise set in medieval Japan and developed by Sucker Punch. It's a work with very high production values, an AAA title like we haven't seen in years: we explain it thoroughly in our review. In anticipation of the game's first anniversary, the American studio has planned new content, which will be sold with a new edition.

Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition

PlayStation and Sucker Punch announce Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition, the new edition that includes the base game, the free DLC Legends, and two new content additions. The first is Echoes of Sekigahara, a story expansion that will recount the events of Atsu during the battle that decided the fate of Japan. Echoes of Sekigahara will introduce a new area to explore with various additional extras including enemies, weapons, armor, and dyes.

The second content is Ghost of Yotei: Most Wanted, a single-player survival mode with roguelike mechanics. In Most Wanted, players will need to complete bounties: killing enemies will grant advantages and unlock additional characters. For now, three playable characters have been revealed: Atsu (shown wielding two katanas), Oyuki (kusarigama), and Nagato (yari).

When the Complete Edition Releases and How Much It Costs

Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition will arrive in time for the game's first anniversary, on October 1, 2026, naturally only on PlayStation 5. Players can already purchase the new edition for €79.99 and immediately gain access to the base game and Legends, while new content will be available in October. Those who already own Ghost of Yotei can upgrade to the Complete Edition for €14.99.
