Fable Delayed Again: Release Slips to February 2027
On the bright side, we'll see it again very soon
Development of the new Fable began around 2018, handled by Playground Games, who this year delivered the excellent Forza Horizon 6. The British studio took over the franchise's legacy from Peter Molyneux, who has returned to his old love, god games, with Masters of Albion. It certainly can't be said that Playground lacked time to refine their new work; in fact, they'll even have a few extra months at their disposal.
When is Fable coming out?
Fable's launch window was initially set for 2025, only to be moved to the following year. It then shifted to autumn 2026, but Microsoft decided to take a little more time, likely due to the difficulty of finding a favorable moment in a crowded period (let's not forget that a certain GTA 6 is also expected in November...). The new Fable launch window has therefore been set for February 2027.
When will we see Fable again?
Unfortunately, we'll have to wait longer to get our hands on Fable, but at least we can console ourselves by watching it: on Sunday, June 7th, during the Xbox showcase, we will be offered a "major new look" at the game. In the meantime, if you'd like to continue the discussion about Fable, you can read the in-depth article related to the last Developer_Direct.
