Dragon Quest VII Reimagined: Announcement, Date, and Platforms
Another remake for Enix's classic JRPG is on the way
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past was originally released in 2000 by Enix on the first PlayStation. Subsequently, in 2013, this title was remade for the 3DS console, featuring entirely new 3D graphics. After another 13 years, the seventh installment of the famous JRPG series will receive a new remake, called Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, which has been announced by Square Enix with a trailer.
Where and When Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Will Be Released
Once again, the graphical style has been modified: the novelty lies in the adoption of dioramas for the backgrounds. The combat system and some gameplay mechanics have also received extensive changes. The story, however, has been streamlined to make it more fluid. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined will be released on February 5, 2026: you will find it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and PC via Steam.
