Don't Nod is a French video game development company with offices in Paris and Montreal, known for titles such as Life is Strange and Vampyr. The last few years have been quite difficult: the most recent games released, namely Jusant (2023), Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden (2024), Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (2025), Aphelion (2026), have all recorded commercial performances below expectations.

Don't Nod's Crisis

This series of failures has undermined the company's economic stability: the report for the first six months of 2026 shows unequivocal data, most notably a 56% drop in revenue compared to the same period of the previous year. Don't Nod intends to address this crisis by reorganizing its internal structure, which will revolve around a single production line in France.

Unfortunately, this solution will entail the layoff of approximately 90 people: Don't Nod currently employs around 320 and not long ago had already resorted to a significant reduction in its workforce, but these efforts may not be enough. The report indeed admits a "significant uncertainty" that the company will continue to operate beyond January 31, 2027.
