Creative Technology brings the pioneering spirit of the legendary Sound Blaster back to life with Sound Blaster Re:Imagine, a modular audio hub designed to unite work, play, and creativity in a single flexible ecosystem. The project debuts today, October 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM Italian time, on Kickstarter, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the brand's history.
A New Kick-Off for the Historic Brand
Born in 1989, the first Sound Blaster revolutionized PC audio and paved the way for modern multimedia. Today, Re:Imagine embraces that legacy with a completely redesigned platform: interchangeable magnetic modules, customizable controls, high-resolution audio (32-bit / 384 kHz), and total connectivity that allows users to manage PCs, consoles, smartphones, microphones, and musical instruments from a single control center.
The hub transforms according to needs: it can be a streaming console, a music workstation, or a control room for content creators. Developers will have "Superuser" access to create and share custom apps and functions, making Re:Imagine a truly open platform driven by the community.
Among the surprises is the return of two historical icons — Dr. Sbaitso and the Sound Blaster parrot — now reinterpreted with artificial intelligence, along with an AI DJ and vintage mini-games. The campaign will offer an "Horizon" base unit as an Early Bird reward, with a stretch goal dedicated to the "Vertex" version.
