Code Violet Delayed Again and Deluxe Edition Canceled
Bureaucratic issues plague Teamkill Media's new title
Code Violet, the horror action/shooter developed by the American studio TeamKill Media, has gone gold but despite this, it needs more time before launch due to… bureaucratic issues. Through a long post on Twitter/X, the team explains that complications arose during the certification process for the Deluxe editions and pre-orders. Despite their efforts, it was not possible to find a solution within a reasonable timeframe.
Code Violet will be released in a single edition
To avoid having to postpone the launch for many months, Teamkill Media made the drastic decision to eliminate the Deluxe edition: Code Violet will be released in a single version, the same for everyone. The additional costumes and items planned for the Deluxe edition (you can find the list here) will therefore go to all players. For Teamkill Media, this is a significant loss, also because Deluxe pre-orders will obviously be refunded.
When is Code Violet coming out?
Code Violet was initially expected in November, but coincidentally, the same day was chosen by Activision for the launch of Black Ops 7, so Teamkill Media opted for a December 12 release. However, the new problem has forced another delay: the new, hopefully final, release date is January 10, 2026. Code Violet is an absolute exclusive for PlayStation 5.
