At CES 2026, Phanteks unveiled a vision for the PC case, focusing on a balance between performance engineering and visual expression. The highlight of the announcement is the new Matrix Series, alongside the open-air concept EXO 626, which together outline an ecosystem designed for enthusiasts of customization, efficient airflow, and clean aesthetics.

Phanteks - Projects between the present and future of PC cases

The Matrix Series introduces premium fabric panels that conceal matrix LED displays, capable of showing system data, animations, and custom text with a soft, non-invasive brightness. Everything is managed via the Phanteks NexLinq software, which allows real-time monitoring and lighting control with a CPU impact of less than 3%, thanks to dedicated hardware.

The flagship model is the Evolv X2 Matrix, equipped with 900 LEDs, a vertical bottom-to-top airflow design, and support for motherboards with rear connectors. The more accessible XT View Matrix features 600 LEDs, extensive support for large GPUs, up to 9x 120mm fans, and 3x D-RGB fans included. For those looking to upgrade an existing case, the Matrix-600 Upgrade Kit is available, compatible with XT View and G400A.

Alongside the Matrix line, Phanteks showcased the EXO 626 concept, an open-air chassis inspired by exoskeleton structures, with separate compartments for GPU, PSU, and cooling, designed for quiet operation and visual impact.

Availability from January 5, 2026: Evolv X2 Matrix at $199.99, XT View Matrix at $119.99, Upgrade Kit at $49.99. The EXO 626 remains a prototype for now.
