Bye Sweet Carole is a delicate horror-tinged adventure, a video game characterized by a refined style that echoes traditional animation of classic Disney films. Created by Little Sewing Machine, a small independent studio led by Italian game designer Chris Darrill, this game was released in October and truly impressed us, as is evident from the words of our review. But we weren't the only ones to recognize the value of the work.

Bye Sweet Carole's Accolades

Regarding sales, Little Sewing Machine's title sold over 100,000 copies in the first two months, a remarkable achievement for a small Italian indie studio. As for critical reception, Bye Sweet Carole was the first Italian game to be nominated for the Annie Awards, as well as the Italian game that received the most nominations in the history of the NAVGTR Awards, with six.

The Webby Award Victory

The aforementioned nominations did not result in a win, but Bye Sweet Carole was nonetheless honored with a prestigious award at the Webby Awards. The first Italian game to receive a nomination for what are considered "the Oscars of the web," Bye Sweet Carole won the Jury Award in the "Games – Best Independent Creator" category. The 30th annual Webby Awards ceremony will be held at Cipriani Wall Street (New York City) on May 12, 2026, and will be streamed on YouTube.
