Black Panther, Marvel and the New T’Challa
Known for Snowfall and F1: The Movie, the actor reportedly turned down 007 and a film with Daniel Day-Lewis

Since the great Chadwick Boseman passed away in 2020, the future of Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has remained uncertain. Nevertheless, the latest rumors indicate that the character of T’Challa could soon return, perhaps in a new version from the multiverse.
During the Vogue World: Hollywood event, actresses Angela Bassett (Queen Ramonda) and Danai Gurira (Okoye) walked the runway paying homage to Black Panther, accompanied by Teyana Taylor, also in a costume inspired by the Dora Milaje. But what really captured fans' attention was Damson Idris, the British actor known for Snowfall and F1: The Movie, photographed backstage walking hand in hand with Bassett.
New Lifeblood for Wakanda

Since then, rumors have multiplied: will Idris be the new T’Challa? The actor had already joked on social media, stating that he had “also turned down 007 and a film with Daniel Day-Lewis,” but recently, interviewed on the Today show, he admitted with an ambiguous “yes-no” that he had had conversations about the role.
According to some sources, rather than a direct replacement for Boseman, Idris could play Toussaint, T’Challa’s son introduced at the end of Wakanda Forever. Marvel Studios is reportedly planning his debut in one of the upcoming Avengers films, before a larger return in Black Panther 3.
