Battlefield 6 x Top Gun: The Crossover and Carrier Strike
The war video game will be available for a free week-long trial
For its fourth season, Battlefield 6 is planning a crossover with one of the most famous military-themed film franchises: Top Gun. This collaboration will kick off next Tuesday, August 18, and is part of Battlefield 6's fourth season. US Air Force aces, aboard iconic jets like the F/A-81F Super Spectre and the F-74A Seacat, will have to gain control of the Pacific skies.
The Carrier Strike Mode
The collaboration between Battlefield and Top Gun serves as the premise for the new Carrier Strike mode, a re-imagined version of the classic Carrier Assault (Battlefield 4) and Titan (Battlefield 2142). This is a very dynamic mode, designed so that danger arrives by sea, land, or air, in which two teams of 32 players face off, with the aim of destroying the opposing aircraft carrier. The battle lasts a maximum of half an hour: if neither ship sinks within the time limit, the one that has taken less damage wins.
The Battlefield 6 Free Trial
You can find more details about Carrier Strike on the official website. If you want to experience the new mode firsthand, you can do so even without having purchased Battlefield 6: from August 18 to 25, there will be a free trial week for the game. To access it, you will need to download Battlefield REDSEC. If you purchase Battlefield 6, anything you unlocked during the week will remain available.
