Milan – April 8, 2026 – Ubisoft and Harmonia mundi are thrilled to unveil Assassin's Creed: The Piano Collection, an album of iconic themes and music from the game series in piano version, performed by Nicolas Horvath.

Nicolas Horvath is a daring French pianist, passionate about minimalist, classical, and experimental music, known for his marathon performances and collaborations with famous artists such as Philip Glass and Terry Riley. Being a gamer himself, he has always argued that video game music should be studied and played more in classical venues. Through this project, he brings his musical expertise to a wider audience, further bridging the gap between classical music and video game soundtracks. In addition to his role as interpreter of these transpositions, Horvath also participated in their creation alongside Montreal arranger Julie Lamontagne and Ubisoft music supervisor Simon Landry.

"I can't wait to interact with Assassin's Creed fans, hear their thoughts, and discover how they emotionally connected with all the artistic choices we made," said Nicolas Horvath regarding this album. "Video game music enthusiasts should be able to feel all the love we put into this project."

A partnership between Ubisoft, Harmonia mundi, and the Philharmonie de Paris

The album Assassin's Creed: The Piano Collection, distributed by Harmonia mundi, was recorded on a historic piano that once belonged to Nadia Boulanger and is now part of the collection of the Musée de la musique in Paris. It will be the first video game soundtrack to enter the prestigious Stradivari Collection, a collaboration with the Musée de la musique of the Philharmonie, which showcases exceptional instruments played by talented performers.

"This is the first true collaboration between the Musée de la musique and the Philharmonie with Ubisoft," says Marie Pauline Martin, director of the Philharmonie de Paris, regarding the project. "The exhibition we are producing, along with the album with Nicolas Horvath, seals a partnership we are thrilled about."

Ubisoft had previously released an official music video for Ezio's Family, the iconic theme of the franchise from Assassin's Creed 2, with Nicolas playing on the 1928 Steinway & Sons Model A grand piano in the Amphitheater of the Philharmonie de Paris.
