ARK 2, the game with Vin Diesel, is postponed to 2028

Here's a game we haven't heard about in a while… and probably won't hear about for a while longer. The curious saga of ARK 2 began way back in 2020, when it was announced at The Game Awards. A couple of years later, this production made an appearance at Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase with a new trailer, which prominently featured the protagonist, played by Vin Diesel.
ARK 2: Here's when it's (possibly) coming out
At the Xbox showcase, the release date was indicated as 2023. When 2023 arrived, ARK 2 was postponed to 2024... Today it's late 2025 and there's a new update: according to a report, Jeremy Stieglitz, co-founder of Wildcard Studio, has expressed the intention to release ARK 2 in 2028, after a series of other developer projects (also related to the ARK universe) have been completed and have "prepared the ground" for ARK 2.
Vin Diesel's involvement
Perhaps the most absurd aspect of ARK 2's prolonged postponement is that… it's not even known what Vin Diesel's actual involvement will be. Stieglitz explains that as of today, it's still unclear how much time the Hollywood star can dedicate to ARK 2: it's a shame that the fate of the narrative depends on this… Wildcard has prepared for every eventuality, with one narrative plan if there's a lot of involvement from Diesel and another in case of little involvement.
