AMD FSR 4.1 - Support Arrives for Radeon RX 6000 and Xbox
The availability of machine learning-based image reconstruction technology expands
AMD extends FSR Upscaling 4.1 to Radeon RX 6000 and a new generation of devices with Ryzen processors. The update expands the availability of machine learning-based image reconstruction technology and paves the way for its debut on Xbox Series X|S.
Support arrives with AMD Software drivers: Adrenalin Edition 26.10.1 and includes Radeon RX 6000 GPUs, Ryzen AI Max, Ryzen AI 9 APUs from the 300 and 400 series, Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, Ryzen Z2 Extreme, and Ryzen Z2 A.
FSR 4.1 also targets consoles
Its arrival on Xbox is expected soon, but AMD has not yet announced a precise date. The extension to Radeon RX 6000 expands the audience of users who can access the technology, without necessarily having to upgrade their graphics card.
AMD has announced upcoming Vulkan support for FSR 4, which will be made available to developers with version 2.4 of the FSR SDK. The technology is already compatible with over 400 games. The Adrenalin 26.10.1 driver also improves frame pacing for FSR Frame Generation on Radeon RX 9000, with the aim of making the display of generated frames smoother.
