Xbox Game Pass: 10 Games Announced for Late August, Resonance Arrives Day One

Microsoft has announced the next ten Xbox Game Pass games, completing the schedule for the second half of August and the first days of September. The main title is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, the new game from Asobo Studio releasing on August 27, available from day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The new wave began on August 18 with Egging On, also added to Game Pass Premium. On August 19, Vapor World: Over the Mind, still in Game Preview, BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, and Relooted arrive, while August 20 will see the life sim Starsand Island. Vapor World is one of the three true day-one releases this round: a soulslike platformer focused on combat based on deflecting attacks.

On August 25, Aerial Knight’s DropShot and Blood Dungeon will join. The latter, developed by the creators of Nidhogg, is a 2D survival platformer set in dungeons populated by creatures to avoid or confront by collecting blood, power-ups, and resources to improve the character between matches. Blood Dungeon will also be available on Game Pass from launch.

Two days later, it will be Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy's turn, available via cloud, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and supported handheld devices. The game is a prequel set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem and centers on Sophia, already encountered in previous chapters. Her story leads her to the island of the Minotaur, with a more action-oriented approach compared to Amicia and Hugo's adventures.

The end of the calendar includes Young Suns, which will reach version 1.0 on August 31, and Shelldiver, scheduled for September 1.

There will also be several departures from the catalog. On August 31, Another Crab’s Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Neon Abyss, One Lonely Outpost, and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt – Remastered Edition will be removed, the latter limited to cloud and console. NBA 2K26 will leave Game Pass on September 6.
