Alan Ritchson could have a role in the new DC Studios project dedicated to Bane and Deathstroke. According to journalist Jeff Sneider, the Reacher actor reportedly began negotiations with the studio to play Slade Wilson, although discussions did not lead to an agreement.

According to CartierFilms' rumors, the story is set to take place in the surprising Salvation, an alternate reality introduced in the second season of Peacemaker through the Quantum Unfolding Chamber. This hypothesis would directly link the film to the television component of the new DCU and offer Bane and Deathstroke a very different scenario from traditional Gotham.

Deathstroke could end up in Salvation

Initially linked to the role of Bane, Ritchson then reportedly discussed Deathstroke with DC Studios. According to rumors, he later preferred to step back given the still uncertain status of the project, which reportedly had not received final approval and did not yet have a director.

The screenplay has been entrusted to Matthew Orton, while the names of Greg Mottola and Ilya Naishuller were previously associated with directing. However, Mottola no longer seems to be involved with the film. It also remains to be seen whether Bane & Deathstroke will truly be a clash between two villains or if the project will end up taking the path of the Secret Six.
