Reacher Revolutionized Alan Ritchson's Career

The success of the first season of Reacher represented a turning point for Alan Ritchson, who, in an interview with CBS Mornings, recounted how the Prime Video series radically changed his career in a matter of days.

The actor explained that immediately after the show's debut, he found himself with approximately 40 proposals for film and television, most of which were related to the action genre. This was a stark change from previous years, during which he had already participated in productions like Titans and Fast X, without, however, achieving comparable exposure to that guaranteed by the adaptation of Lee Child's novels.

From the Series' Success to a Flood of Offers

Among all the scripts received, the one that struck him most was Motor City, a thriller directed by Potsy Ponciroli. Ritchson recounted that he called the screenplay a true masterpiece after the first reading, immediately convincing his team to back the project.

The film follows the story of an ex-convict determined to get revenge on the man who destroyed his life and stands out for an unusual narrative choice: the dialogue is kept to a minimum, allowing action and performance to drive the story.

For Ritchson, moreover, John Miller and Jack Reacher share a fundamental element: they embody the idea of justice capable of intervening when the system fails to do so. Meanwhile, 2026 promises to be an intense year for the actor, who is also expected to appear in the fourth season of Reacher and other film projects.
