Zack Snyder Invited to a Meeting at Warner Bros.

A photo of Zack Snyder near Warner Bros. immediately reignited the hopes of fans of the so-called SnyderVerse. The reality is less sensational but nonetheless makes the visit of the great director no less interesting, as he returned to Burbank to attend a screening for employees of Excalibur, John Boorman's 1981 masterpiece.

Snyder also met with Studio heads Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, participating in a Q&A session in front of staff. The particularly warm welcome inevitably brought back memories of his years of collaboration with the Studio, culminating in Justice League and the subsequent realization of his magnificent version Zack Snyder's Justice League.

A Return That Reopens a Seemingly Closed Door

There is no announcement related to DC and nothing indicates that Warner Bros. wants to bring Snyder's cinematic project back to the screen. James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DCU is, in fact, proceeding along a completely different path.

However, the visit demonstrates a relationship that is now much less conflictual than in the past. And there is already a possible meeting point: Snyder is developing a remake of Carpenter's 1997: Escape from New York for StudioCanal, while a recent agreement between CANAL+ and Warner Bros. Discovery could favor its distribution by the studio.

For now, therefore, no Justice League 2, but it remains significant that Snyder and Warner Bros. have shaken hands again.
