Yakuza 0, Kiwami 1 and 2: Upgrade Available for Existing Owners
Here's all the information you need to know
On December 8, 2005, Yakuza (original name Ryu Ga Gotoku), the progenitor of the successful Japanese organized crime series, was released on PlayStation 2. 20 years later, on December 8, 2025, Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio will celebrate the anniversary with these initiatives: the launch of Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and the release of Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PS5/Series X|S. These three games will also be included in the Yakuza Series 20th Anniversary Bundle. But what happens if you already own a previous version?
Yakuza Upgrade Details
Sega has announced that owners of the games in question will be able to upgrade to the new versions. Specifically:

Finally, upgrades are tied to the platform: the PS4 version upgrades to the PS5 version, the Xbox One version upgrades to the Xbox Series X|S version, and the Steam version upgrades to the Steam version.
