VisionQuest, trailer shows Ultron's new face
Eight episodes picking up directly from the aftermath of the WandaVision series
The first trailer for VisionQuest brings one of the longest-suspended characters back to the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Paul Bettany returns as Vision and discovers that recovering his memories is not enough to reconstruct his identity. A face that seemed to definitively belong to the past also awaits him: Ultron, still played by James Spader.
The mini-series will arrive on Disney+ on October 14, 2026 with eight episodes and will pick up directly from the consequences of WandaVision. Vision remembers his life, but can no longer fully recognize himself in that person. The problem becomes even more complicated when Ultron's presence re-emerges in his mind.
Tommy Maximoff returns to his father's life
The trailer also introduces Tommy Maximoff, played by Ruaridh Mollica, destined to play a central role in the story. Tommy considers Vision his father, while Vision still seems unable to accept the family born during the events of Westview as real.
The trailer thus leaves Vision grappling with a past that doesn't seem willing to remain so. Ultron has returned to his mind and Tommy Maximoff has reappeared in his life: two presences capable of bringing to the surface everything the character had tried to leave behind.
