Yesterday's leak was true, Villion: Code has been officially announced. The new "school RPG" from Compile Heart, helmed by Kouji Okada, co-founder of Atlus and co-creator of Persona and Megami Tensei, is confirmed to be a surreal dungeon crawler with action combat in circular arenas. Humanity is on the brink of extinction, and bizarre phenomena are occurring in the academy city created to safeguard what remains. It will be our task, leading a group of teenagers, to investigate and defeat the monstrous "GEMs" that are attacking the survivors.

The title is set to debut in Japan on May 25th for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5. No mention of a Western release. Standard, Digital Deluxe (with artbook and soundtrack), and Special editions will be available. The Special edition includes a physical artbook, soundtrack on disc, two illustrated prints, and a... lottery ticket to participate in a drawing for one of ten themed canvas paintings.
