Valor Mortis Releases Today: The Launch of the Napoleonic Soulslike
One More Level drags us onto the battlefields of the early 19th century
Publisher Lyrical Games and developer One More Level announce the release of Valor Mortis, available starting today, October 13, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Xbox PC), as well as on the Game Pass service. This video game is a first-person soulslike set during the Napoleonic Wars: the protagonist William is a soldier wandering through the ruins of Europe, fighting men who have transformed into monsters.
The Polish studio One More Level drew on the experience gained with previous Ghostrunner titles to create a game with a combat system that effectively alternates melee, ranged, and magical attacks. The Napoleonic setting and horror atmosphere give the work an original style, although technically it's not a miracle.
