Development of the hyperrealistic FPS is progressing rapidly
Do you remember Unrecord? It's an FPS in Unreal Engine 5, which uses a police officer's bodycam perspective for its framing. The first trailer for the project, dated 2023, generated a lot of buzz for its unbelievable realism: while Epic Games' engine is capable of great things, more than one observer remained skeptical about the quality of a video that, if authentic, would be the envy of AAA shooters.
Unrecord Updates
From 2023 until now, there haven't been significant updates, but something is stirring. Unrecord's developer, French studio Drama, has formed a partnership with Tencent, which has given new impetus to development (via VGC). Drama has expanded its staff and entered full production phase. The studio will share new information about its work in 2026. Drama's goal is to create a single-player tactical FPS with immersive gameplay and an engaging story.
