Tulsa King 5 - Garrett Hedlund Anticipates Series' Turning Point
Mitch is expected to accompany the protagonist into the story's new phase
The fifth season of Tulsa King will mark a turning point for Dwight Manfredi with his return to New York, the city from which he was exiled after decades in prison. Garrett Hedlund, who plays Mitch Keller, has confirmed his involvement in the new episodes, deeming the change an opportunity to revitalize the series with Sylvester Stallone.
During a promotional interview for the fourth season, Hedlund hinted that Mitch will accompany the protagonist into the story's new phase, showing the urban landscape from his window. The actor believes this choice can give new momentum to the narrative, also thanks to Terence Winter, already a screenwriter for The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire.
A New Chapter for Dwight Manfredi
Dwight is no longer the criminal forced to start over in Oklahoma: in the meantime, he has built his own organization and consolidated the economic interests linked to the Montague Distillery. The confrontation with the past will therefore put him in a different position compared to the first seasons.
Paramount+ has already started production of the fifth season and announced new cast members. Scarlet Rose Stallone will become a regular character, while other additions include Erik Palladino, Glenn Fleshler, Anthony Skordi, and Nickola Shreli. The fourth season will debut in the United States on October 16, the Italian release date remains to be confirmed.
