Actress Kimberly Hébert Gregory, known for her role in the HBO series Vice Principals, has passed away at the age of 52. The news was confirmed by her ex-husband, actor and singer Chester Gregory, who paid tribute to her memory on social media with words of deep emotion: “Kimberly, you were brilliance personified. A woman whose mind lit up every room, whose presence combined strength and grace.” The cause of death has not yet been released.

Born as a theatrical performer in the nineties, Kimberly Hébert Gregory later conquered film and television with a versatile career. Her big screen debut came in 2007 with Chris Rock's I Think I Love My Wife, followed by appearances in series such as Gossip Girl, Law & Order, The Big Bang Theory, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Better Call Saul.

Beloved Face of the Small Screen

In 2016, she achieved popularity with Vice Principals, where she starred alongside Walton Goggins (image above) and Danny McBride as the school principal. Goggins himself remembered her as “one of the best I’ve ever worked with, an impeccable professional, a soprano voice that never hit a wrong note.”

In subsequent years, Gregory appeared in Kevin (Probably) Saves the World and the animated series Craig of the Creek. Her last role was as Ruth Jean Baskerville Brown in Genius: Aretha for National Geographic, a performance that once again confirmed her extraordinary artistic sensibility.
