On May 16, 2011, the US indie studio Re-Logic launched Terraria, a pixel art action/adventure with a sandbox nature, where players can explore, fight, build, in short, do pretty much whatever they want in a multitude of biomes. Over the years, this title has reached various platforms, becoming one of the biggest successes in video game history.

Terraria's Sales

To celebrate the game's fifteenth birthday, Re-Logic shared a message on Steam in which, among other things, it discussed the incredible numbers of its work. In these fifteen years, Terraria's sales have exceeded the incredible threshold of 70 million copies. The majority, 39.6 million, were purchased on computers; followed by mobile devices (19.7 million) and consoles (10.7 million).

Terraria's Future Updates

One of the reasons for Terraria's success can easily be found in its prolonged support over time, which has resulted in a quantity of free updates. In the game's near future are patch 1.4.6 and a highly anticipated feature like crossplay, but in its message, Re-Logic confirmed its intention to continue working on the project in the years to come, hinting at "plans and ideas" that will be shared when appropriate.
